Coach Philipp is originally from Munich, Germany where he played as high as the second youth division for FC Deisenhofen. After moving to the US at the age of 16 he was a two year captain for North Quincy High School and also played for AFC. He then attended Umass Boston to pursue a history degree and is currently a teacher in Quincy. Coach Philipp started coaching at the age of 14 for one of his former clubs in Germany, FC Ottobrunn, and has not stopped since. He has returned to AFC as a coach after college, coached 3 years of High School JV, and is currently an Assistant Coach with the Men’s soccer team of Eastern Nazarene College.
