bio

Coach Andrea was born and raised in Brescia, in Northern Italy. He developed as a player in the youth academy of a semi-professional club, in which he help the varsity team reach 2 league promotions and one Italian cup final in just 3 years.

At 21 he moved to the US to study and play for Merrimack College (NCAA Div 1), where he helped the team win 2 conferences and served as a captain for 2 years.

While Coach Andrea primarily played as a midfielder, he spent time in several other positions of the field, helping him further develop knowledge and understanding of the game.

Due to several knee injuries, his soccer career ended shortly after graduating from Merrimack College in 2021.

Although no longer able to play anymore himself, Andrea has been able to continue his passion for the sport through coaching.

Since joining AFC as a coach in 2022, Andrea has been coaching U9 and U10 boys, winning the 2023 NESC Tournament with the U10s.

philosophy

He strongly believes that individual player development comes first. Andrea works with each players to figure out their strengths and bring them to the field while working on their weaknesses. In doing so, players build confidence in their game and in themselves, which ultimately improves the team.
