Charlie Dunn
bio
Coach Charlie was born in Louisville, KY, and raised in Charlotte NC, but he calls Boston, MA and in particular “Southie,” “home!”
He began playing soccer at an early age for Charlotte United Soccer Club, and eventually worked his way to all-conference and all-state honors as a 4-year starter for Charlotte Latin Highschool.
After being recruited by D2 and D3 soccer programs, Charlie instead opted to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a 4-year starter for the Men’s Club Soccer Team and grew to become a rabid Tarheel fan!
While his competitive playing days might be over, Charlie continues to be a personal fitness enthusiast and developing coach, having coached soccer at numerous youth levels.
philosophy
Charlie has a heart for seeing his players develop in what he calls, “the 3 H’s” – a head-level understanding of the game; a heart-level love for the game; a hand-level (or in this case “foot-level”); competency about the game.
